At Smartfix we are a small family-run business based in Ingatestone that pride ourselves on customer journeys and offer sustainable solutions through the many different systems that we offer to our client base.
Having been in the construction industry for many years since leaving school I realised that most of the products and materials we used were either full of VOC’s ( Volatile Organic Compounds) or completely unsustainable for long-term use.
So we made it our mission to source materials that were sustainable, such as cork, hemp, wood fibre, sheep’s wool and silica (sand).
These materials are abundant and have been used for millennia in all sorts of ways in many industries, but unfortunately have fallen out of use over time in the construction industry in favour of more modern materials that are harmful to the environment and really heavy on carbon through the manufacturing, installation, and disposal stages of construction.
Many are not breathable and most of the waste ends up in landfill because its not recyclable. We believe that we must build better using the right materials for a better, more sustainable world for future generations.

We now offer DOFF steam cleaning services for: Roofs (moss removal), Brickwork, Patios, Driveways, Conservatories and more. This system uses water heated to 150 degrees eliminating the use of harsh chemicals and only uses 40% of the water used when jet washing.
