This month we asked Joshua Sheppard a few questions to find out more about the man behind Mr Misty, The Window Doctor.
How did Mr Misty come about?
I was born and raised in the window industry through my father’s business, which provided me with years of experience and gave me a platform from which to launch Mr Misty. After I completed my carpentry apprenticeship, I loaned a van from my father and 12 years on, my team and I now cover Essex and Suffolk.
What drives your business?
From the outset, I have aimed to provide a service in which customer satisfaction, product quality, the highest of installation standards and competitive pricing are the key priorities and heart of my business.
Have you achieved that?
Our reputation as a leading window repairs company in Essex and Suffolk would suggest that yes, I have.
What is the best part of your job?
I like conversing with people and often hear many interesting anecdotes. I am also a massive animal lover, so a customer with pets is always a bonus.
What has changed since COVID-19?
We helped local businesses get ready to reopen again by making perspex screens for pubs, restaurants, hair salons and offices. It kept us busy towards the end of lockdown. It was so popular that we have now run out of the perspex!
What’s next for Mr Misty?
I’m working towards expanding into other areas so that we can provide services to households across East Anglia.
